The UPLIFT Equinox 7 Days of Joy

Welcome!

During these 7 Days Of Joy,
we’re focusing on identifying the feeling of joy
within us, energetically and in our bodies,
becoming more familiar with the feeling of joy.
By feeling joy with intention and attention,
we are activating the vibration of Joy.

Take a moment and notice,
what are you feeling right now?

It takes courage to allow ourselves
to genuinely feel joy
in our world where so many are suffering.
It is our intention that by infusing
the collective consciousness with more joy
everyone will get an uplifting wave of joy.
Even just a smile can bring joy
to everyone around.

Let’s be curious and see what happens
as we consciously, gratefully, and courageously
experience and embody more joy.

It’s our intention to raise the vibration on the planet
together, with this beautiful planet, by having more fun,
smiling more often, and focusing on feeling joyful vibrations,
infusing ourselves, infusing each other,
and infusing our world with joy.

Joy is accessible within you. It’s always within you,
it’s always available, and we are going to discover
what it’s like to access, activate, and experience
more joy within each of us, every day,
and see what happens.

We’d like to suggest 3 ways to help
Access, Activate, and Experience
more joy each day

1. Make a list of things you know you enjoy and love to do. Be imaginative and uncensored. Write it down. Keep a journal for these 7 Days of Joy. Keep adding to your list every day. And then do these things, at least one or two things on your list every day. Notice what it feels like just to start thinking about the things you enjoy. Start to imagine how you will make these things happen in your life.

2. Take 5-7 minutes every morning, and at night before you go to sleep, to focus on and feel for joy within you. Bring to mind things that feel joyful to you, and focus on the feelings and vibrations of joy in your body and in your heart.

3. Most importantly, throughout the day and night, find what you can feel genuinely joyful about in the present moment. Throughout the day, no matter what is happening, or what you’re doing, or what else you are feeling, there is always something you can find to feel joyful about.

You can do these 7 Days Of Joy alone,
with your family, with a friend or a group of friends.
Notice how you feel to explore inviting people
to experience these 7 Days Of Joy together.

For the equinox weekend especially,
imagine, create and get inspired to do things
that really bring you joy, happiness, excitement,
adventure, celebration, peace, gratitude,
bonds of love and affection
and any other way that brings you joy.
And then plan to do them.

Remember, things don’t always go
as expected.
And we are learning to find joy
in each present moment,
even when the unexpected happens.
We have the ability to reset ourselves,
and feel for joy, we can bring our focus to joy,
compassion, trust, peace, inner strength,
and other inner resources,
no matter what else we are feeling
and no matter what else
is going on.

Keep feeling your body.
This will keep you grounded and centered.
Keep feeling your feeling of being alive in your body.
These 7 Days Of Joy are about experiencing
and embodying more joy.

We are complex beings,
and there’s always a lot going on within us!
We all have all kinds of feelings all the time.
So, no matter what feelings show up,
we can just notice how we are feeling,
with curiosity and kindness
to ourselves.

Without rejecting our feelings or censoring them,
and without attaching to them,
we can shift our attention to feel for joy…
genuine joy.

It’s an exploration and a great adventure.

Curiosity

Curiosity is our natural ability to look at things with fresh eyes. As we put aside opinions, concepts, projections, and expectations: we become available to experience this moment with the wonder and innocence of a child. 

Being curious brings us into a natural, open, and vast space to explore: “What is this?” “What am I experiencing?” “What am I feeling?”

4. Bring more awareness to what you are feeling. Focus on your felt experience and the qualities of the Inner Resource as you embody it. Resist the habit to analyze. Simply feel your body and emotions. 

5. Be open to your current experience, whatever it is, without judgment. Just ride the wave of the experience.

6. Remember that the quality of your attention and what you are feeling are more important than the content. Notice how your attention changes, waxing and waning, growing stronger, and sometimes getting distracted. No worries, simply bring your awareness back to the moment, take a deep breath, and focus on the Inner Resource.

7. Become familiar with the feelings and sensations of the Inner Resource you have chosen. Feel what is showing up in your physical body and your emotional body. Be curious to discover how this Inner Resource will support you in your life, to be who you really want to be, and feel how you really want to feel. It is through feeling the Inner Resource that you activate the frequency of it. 

Take 5 Deep Breaths

1. Feel your body.

2. Relax your shoulders.

3. Choose a word that makes you feel peaceful, such as om, peace, or love.

4. Inhale slowly while mentally saying the word you chose. Pause before starting the exhalation.

5. Exhale slowly while mentally saying 1 with the first breath. Exhale saying 2 with the second breath, up to 5 or more.

Feel Your Body

Relax your body, and just be aware of how your body feels. Be curious about what is happening in your body. Without changing anything, just notice what you are feeling. Notice where you are feeling things in your body. Make yourself more comfortable if you’d like. Take a deep breath, and feel the sensation of aliveness and the energy of your body.
