MEETING THE WORLD WITH WONDER

As we look at the world with wonder, we shift into a higher
perspective. Let’s discover what it is actually like
to meet the whole world with wonder.

 Listen, feel, and experience this Guided Meditation ~ Inner Journey:

Your UPI 🕊️ Daily Morning Practice:

⭐️ Listen to the daily UPI Meditation and then sit quietly to integrate the frequencies for a few to several more minutes of quiet time.

⭐️ Notice your breathing, take 3 deeper breaths, and feel your body, feel your presence, and invite yourself to relax with each exhalation.

⭐️ Visualize your head filling with light and focus on the central spark of light.

⭐️ Bring curiosity and kindness to your current experience and name to yourself what emotions are showing up.

⭐️ Say 3 kind and loving things to yourself.

⭐️ Write down what you are feeling in your journal.

WHAT IS IT ACTUALLY LIKE TO MEET THE WHOLE WORLD
AND ALL THAT’S HAPPENING WITH WONDER?

Can we meet even war with a perspective of wonder?

It’s challenging, we know.

Embracing a perspective of wonder does not mean
that you agree with or approve of war or violence.

Not at all.

The greater majority of all us humans do not want war
or any violence in our lives or on our planet!

And all of us here in our UPLIFT community envision
and long for a world of peace.

We are sensitive, loving human beings
with strong feelings and opinions
about war and violence.
Because we care.

We really, really care.

Not that it’s right. Not that it’s ok.
But as was written by the mystic poet, Rumi,
“Out beyond right-doing and wrong-doing, there’s a field.
I’ll meet you there.”

Can we meet there?

Of course, there is a field of right-doing and wrong-doing.
We know this.
But there’s a field outside of that as well.

Can we meet over there?

Because engaging in the battle of right and wrong
is just another war.
And our opinions about who’s right and who’s wrong
really don’t matter.

As we look with wonder, curiosity, and not-knowing,
we shift into a higher perspective.

Take 3 deep breaths.

Feel your heart center and feel your body quietly vibrating
in the frequency of wonder.

“Out beyond right-doing and wrong-doing, there’s a field…”

Curiosity

Curiosity is our natural ability to look at things with fresh eyes. As we put aside opinions, concepts, projections, and expectations: we become available to experience this moment with the wonder and innocence of a child. 

Being curious brings us into a natural, open, and vast space to explore: “What is this?” “What am I experiencing?” “What am I feeling?”

4. Bring more awareness to what you are feeling. Focus on your felt experience and the qualities of the Inner Resource as you embody it. Resist the habit to analyze. Simply feel your body and emotions. 

5. Be open to your current experience, whatever it is, without judgment. Just ride the wave of the experience.

6. Remember that the quality of your attention and what you are feeling are more important than the content. Notice how your attention changes, waxing and waning, growing stronger, and sometimes getting distracted. No worries, simply bring your awareness back to the moment, take a deep breath, and focus on the Inner Resource.

7. Become familiar with the feelings and sensations of the Inner Resource you have chosen. Feel what is showing up in your physical body and your emotional body. Be curious to discover how this Inner Resource will support you in your life, to be who you really want to be, and feel how you really want to feel. It is through feeling the Inner Resource that you activate the frequency of it. 

Take 5 Deep Breaths

1. Feel your body.

2. Relax your shoulders.

3. Choose a word that makes you feel peaceful, such as om, peace, or love.

4. Inhale slowly while mentally saying the word you chose. Pause before starting the exhalation.

5. Exhale slowly while mentally saying 1 with the first breath. Exhale saying 2 with the second breath, up to 5 or more.

Feel Your Body

Relax your body, and just be aware of how your body feels. Be curious about what is happening in your body. Without changing anything, just notice what you are feeling. Notice where you are feeling things in your body. Make yourself more comfortable if you’d like. Take a deep breath, and feel the sensation of aliveness and the energy of your body.
