The Heart Of Desire

Listen, Feel, and Experience this Guided Meditation ~ Inner Journey:

Take a few deep breaths
and settle into this present moment.

Let the word desire drop into your mind.
Say it a few times to yourself.

Notice what are you feeling.

Bring curiosity and innocence to this inquiry.

And use your breath to calm
and comfort yourself as needed.

We all know the feeling of wanting something,
what it feels like to want something.

Think of something you want.
Some things you really, deeply want.

Focus on the feeling of wanting,
of longing, of desire.

Notice where you feel this in your body.

And there are things we want to feel by fulfilling
our desires, by getting what we want.

What is it you want to feel as a result
of fulfilling your desires?

Bring openness and wonder to this inquiry.

What is it you want to feel
as a result of getting what you desire?

Can you feel that now?

Stay present in your heart,
feel your body, and breathe a bit more fully.
Be consciously aware of all you are feeling.

Maybe you can notice long held desires
in the depths of your heart.

Desires to be seen, to be appreciated, accepted,
to be loved, cherished, trusted.
Desires for meaning, purpose, truth.
Desires for inner peace, youthfulness, forgiveness.
You might find anything there.

Feel the wanting, the deep longing
in your heart.
And bypass any thinking.

Breathe into the feeling of longing,
and with each exhalation let go
into more quietness.

Be aware of the sensations of longing
vibrating in the depths your heart.

Feel the longing vibrate at the very frequency
of what you long for.

The longing and what you long for.

They reveal each other,
they dance together with joy and excitement
within you.

You can have it all right now.

Feel yourself breathing.
Softly opening your heart a little more
in wonder and trust.

Reach deep into your longing.
It might feel like an ancient yearning.

Let your longing take you deeper into the heart
of your deepest desires.

In the quietness within you,
feel your longing revealing itself.

Who knew that our desires could be
such a treasure?

We are discovering so much about ourselves!

Let your deepest longings lead the way
and guide your journey home –

to your truth –

to your infinite being –

of love and light –

Curiosity

Curiosity is our natural ability to look at things with fresh eyes. As we put aside opinions, concepts, projections, and expectations: we become available to experience this moment with the wonder and innocence of a child. 

Being curious brings us into a natural, open, and vast space to explore: “What is this?” “What am I experiencing?” “What am I feeling?”

4. Bring more awareness to what you are feeling. Focus on your felt experience and the qualities of the Inner Resource as you embody it. Resist the habit to analyze. Simply feel your body and emotions. 

5. Be open to your current experience, whatever it is, without judgment. Just ride the wave of the experience.

6. Remember that the quality of your attention and what you are feeling are more important than the content. Notice how your attention changes, waxing and waning, growing stronger, and sometimes getting distracted. No worries, simply bring your awareness back to the moment, take a deep breath, and focus on the Inner Resource.

7. Become familiar with the feelings and sensations of the Inner Resource you have chosen. Feel what is showing up in your physical body and your emotional body. Be curious to discover how this Inner Resource will support you in your life, to be who you really want to be, and feel how you really want to feel. It is through feeling the Inner Resource that you activate the frequency of it. 

Take 5 Deep Breaths

1. Feel your body.

2. Relax your shoulders.

3. Choose a word that makes you feel peaceful, such as om, peace, or love.

4. Inhale slowly while mentally saying the word you chose. Pause before starting the exhalation.

5. Exhale slowly while mentally saying 1 with the first breath. Exhale saying 2 with the second breath, up to 5 or more.

Feel Your Body

Relax your body, and just be aware of how your body feels. Be curious about what is happening in your body. Without changing anything, just notice what you are feeling. Notice where you are feeling things in your body. Make yourself more comfortable if you’d like. Take a deep breath, and feel the sensation of aliveness and the energy of your body.
