Feeling Your Way Home

It’s through consciously feeling our feelings,
being real with ourselves, and being authentic about our feelings
that we find our way home to ourselves.

It’s not easy, but you can do this.

You are so powerful, more powerful than you realize.

So what’s in the way?
Likely, there’s fear, fear of very painful past trauma reoccurring.
We’ve experienced so much pain and trauma here on Earth,
and more so for those of us who are extremely sensitive.

The fear of feeling more pain keeps us from wanting to feel;
we resist it, hold it back, and try to keep it away.

It’s a default mechanism that automatically kicks in to protect us.
It likely started happening when we were very little, very young,
even as babies.

But has it really worked very well?
We have still been shocked and overwhelmed,
suffered deeply, and felt excruciating pain and sadness.

Fortunately, all of our experiences can make us feel stronger,
more compassionate, more understanding,
and more connected to others,
because we can relate to how they are feeling,
we know, we understand.

We can say to those who are suffering, “I understand.”
And our words carry the vibration of truth.
They are powerfully healing,
and our friends feel held, loved, and seen.
And that is beautiful.
It’s not easy to feel all our feelings. It can feel unbearable.
But it is worth it.
Because you reconnect with your emotional body.
You release as you feel, you begin to heal, and you discover
deeper and deeper layers of yourself.

So let yourself feel everything.
Feel your current, direct experience right now
with curiosity and kindness to yourself.

Let yourself cry if you feel to.
Tears are nectar, and it’s so satisfying to cry,
once we get through the embarrassment.

As you let go of all the facades
of who you’ve been told you are supposed to be,
dismiss all the beliefs that have been foisted upon you,
and forgive yourself for every time you abandoned your truth,
you will remember.

You will remember yourself.
You will feel your power.
You will feel your brightness.
You will remember that you are, in truth,
a being of love.

As you let yourself feel into the depths of even your most resisted,
agonizing feelings, you will remember.
Somewhere in there, you will remember yourself.
You will feel that love and care
in the center of your heart.

You will need to remind yourself over and over again;
because there’s no landing place,
and no end state.
You didn’t accumulate all that trauma in one day.

It’s a recurring awakening.
We are constantly reawakening to love.
Every feeling arising is another opportunity for self-discovery,
to feel more, and to remember who we truly are.
And we will get many, many, many opportunities!
But even the longest journey starts with the first step,
and having the courage to take another step, and then another.

The steps we are taking here,
are in being willing to feel each feeling when it shows up,
and in bringing curiosity and compassion to ourselves.
We are healing our emotional body.

And what a glorious experience that is!
As we consciously feel, we heal
and then we get to feel more of all the wonderful things
we want to feel!

We all want to be happy and feel good.
It really is all about feeling!

How beautiful it is to feel more joy, happiness, excitement,
more meaning, satisfaction, fulfillment, more beauty, wonder, delight,
more inner peace, more confidence, courage, and inner strength, more fun,
more laughter, more love, and more of all the good stuff you want to feel.

And you become a living example of what’s possible;
that no matter how much you have suffered,
you still choose to feel love
and unconceal more of who you truly are.
As you demonstrate that you can choose to feel peace and love
as well as all your other feelings,
you validate the truth that you are a powerful,
infinite being of love and light.

Imagine a world where more people are willing to honor themselves,
feel their feelings with courage and humility, and also remember
that they are Source Energy Beings of pure unconditional love,
shining with light, no matter what else they are feeling.

Let’s hold space for that vision together.

And remember who we truly are.

Curiosity

Curiosity is our natural ability to look at things with fresh eyes. As we put aside opinions, concepts, projections, and expectations: we become available to experience this moment with the wonder and innocence of a child. 

Being curious brings us into a natural, open, and vast space to explore: “What is this?” “What am I experiencing?” “What am I feeling?”

4. Bring more awareness to what you are feeling. Focus on your felt experience and the qualities of the Inner Resource as you embody it. Resist the habit to analyze. Simply feel your body and emotions. 

5. Be open to your current experience, whatever it is, without judgment. Just ride the wave of the experience.

6. Remember that the quality of your attention and what you are feeling are more important than the content. Notice how your attention changes, waxing and waning, growing stronger, and sometimes getting distracted. No worries, simply bring your awareness back to the moment, take a deep breath, and focus on the Inner Resource.

7. Become familiar with the feelings and sensations of the Inner Resource you have chosen. Feel what is showing up in your physical body and your emotional body. Be curious to discover how this Inner Resource will support you in your life, to be who you really want to be, and feel how you really want to feel. It is through feeling the Inner Resource that you activate the frequency of it. 

Take 5 Deep Breaths

1. Feel your body.

2. Relax your shoulders.

3. Choose a word that makes you feel peaceful, such as om, peace, or love.

4. Inhale slowly while mentally saying the word you chose. Pause before starting the exhalation.

5. Exhale slowly while mentally saying 1 with the first breath. Exhale saying 2 with the second breath, up to 5 or more.

Feel Your Body

Relax your body, and just be aware of how your body feels. Be curious about what is happening in your body. Without changing anything, just notice what you are feeling. Notice where you are feeling things in your body. Make yourself more comfortable if you’d like. Take a deep breath, and feel the sensation of aliveness and the energy of your body.
