Mother Nature Decided to Take a Stand
With Joy Let the World Sing

Mother Nature decided to take a stand,
Her sweet Earth needed a break;
A virus called “Greed” was in command,
And had to be curbed for Man’s sake.

So, she called for a meeting of powerful guests,
They all showed up ready to serve;
Earthquake was first to say he was best,
And could easily throw Greed a curve!

Then Thunder and Lightning spoke up with a crash,
“Let us provide what you need!
We’ll get Rain to help, as floods will cost cash—
In the wallet, we’ll hit Mr. Greed!”

Hurricane, Tsunami, Tornado and Plague,
Took turns telling what they could do;
All with details of specific ways,
They could topple an empire or two.

Mother Nature said, “No…I don’t want to hurt,
My animals, plants and trees.
The flowers’ beauty, they need to assert,
And already there aren’t enough bees!”

Amongst all these giants of terrible strength,
A tiny, small voice then was heard:
“I know I don’t have much depth, width or length,
But POWER? I give you my word!

My name is Corona, some call me a germ,
I multiply faster than light!
Give me a chance to help Mr. Greed learn,
His pollution is more of a blight!”

I can make Mankind cautious and scared,
Without touching a blade of grass…
And I’ll make sure all the children are spared;
As Greed learns a lesson at last.”

At this, Mother Nature perked up her ears,
“Tell me more of your plan,” she implored.
“Could extreme air pollution soon disappear,
With factories and vehicles ignored?”

“Yes; Moms and Dads will stay home with their kids,
As everyone takes a short break,
The stock market, then, will take some big skids,
In order to save what’s at stake.”

“Sounds like a plan,” Mother Nature declared,
Dear Earth needs to clear out her lungs.
I know for a while, everyone will be scared,
But changes just have to be done.

This time of reflection and going within,
Will hopefully help Mankind see,
That Greed, left unchecked, can cause such a spin—
What’s important must now be set free!

Kindness, Love, and Respect for each other,
And for the Earth, on which they live,
Is the greatest goal for me, Nature’s Mother,
To Earth, mankind’s care he must give.”

“As quickly as possible,” the little germ said,
“I’ll be gone just as fast as I came;
I’ll be so sorry for those I leave dead—
But we know Earth must not stay the same.

Mr. Greed will soon learn that ‘MORE! MORE! MORE! MORE!’
More factories, more drilling, more cars;
Has harmed the planet, that he should adore,
At this rate, he’ll block out the stars!

And also, he’ll learn, that hoarding his wealth,
While so many still sleep in the cold,
Is selfish and mean, and affects the health,
Of children, young people and old.”

Mother Nature was sad it had come to rebirth,
She knew that so many would die;
But she also knew, that of those who left Earth,
To Her, their spirits would fly!

And all those sweet souls that Corona would claim,
Would live on in a world that’s unseen;
They’ll be there with her, to help her reclaim,
An Earth that will now be pristine.

“Ok, then,” she cried, as Corona was sent,
And her tears fell to Earth like the rain;
She knew he’d wreak havoc wherever he went,
But the renewal of all would remain.

Mr. Greed will be forced to loosen his hold,
On those humans who followed his ways;
They’ll share their great wealth through ideas that are bold,
And help others the rest of their days.

They’ll live in a world where the air is now pure,
And all will have shelter and food;
Where the natural beauty of Earth is preserved,
And everyone’s in a great mood!

Life’s not always easy, as challenges come,
That cause taking stock of what’s best;
Compassion, Kindness, and Love are just some
Of what will help Man pass the test.

“Know above all else,” Mother Nature declared,
“Only working together will bring,
Peace on Earth as abundance is shared,
With JOY all the world will then sing!”
