Transformation Through Uncomfortable Feelings

Guided Journey

Transformation Through Uncomfortable Feelings / Emotions
Guided Journey

Give yourself plenty of time to do this transformative Guided Journey.
There are no right or wrong answers to these questions. This is just for you, an opportunity to discover more about yourself with deep honesty and authenticity. This is a private space. No one has access to what you write here at any time.

Take 5 - 10 deep breaths. Let yourself slow down with each exhalation.
Calm your mind.
And feel your body.
Bring curiosity to your current experience and kindness to yourself, without trying to change a thing.

Name the feelings / emotions you are currently aware of experiencing right now. Check the list below if needed.

Write the name of each uncomfortable feeling / emotion you are currently experiencing in the box below.

Your words will appear throughout the guide below.

If more uncomfortable feelings / emotions show up during this inquiry, come back and add them in the box above.

Refrain from any compulsion to think about the story of what happened.
Put aside any narratives, explanations, understandings, blame, fault, justification, etc. Refrain from the habit to analyze.
Put all that aside. It will not serve you in this process of transformation.

Take another deep breath, and say to yourself, "I am willing to feel the part of me that feels these feelings / emotions."
Say to yourself "I am willing to feel the part of me that feels ___________."

Notice where and what you are feeling in your body.
Write down what you notice happening in your body.
What do you feel in your body?

Be aware of the distinction between the part of you that is curious, that is simply aware and watching, and the part of you that is experiencing the feelings / emotions.
Let them both be here.

What do you notice as you explore these two distinct parts of yourself?

Place yourself on a "perch of curiosity" and shift into a deeper identification with the part of you that is curious.
What do you notice happening as you become more curious about what you are feeling?

What do you notice from your "perch of curiosity"?

Bring compassion to the part of you that is feeling ___________.
If you feel any resistance, bring a few drops of compassion to the part of you that is feeling resistance as well.
What do you notice as you offer yourself compassion?
How does it feel as you both give and receive compassion?

Write down how this feels.

Pause and take another 3 deep breaths, or more, and make sure to relax with each exhalation.

Feel your body, the energetic vibrations, and the energy field of your body.
Keep noticing where you feel things in your body from your "perch of curiosity."

Allow yourself to feel the emotions fully. Don't censor yourself or hold back.
You are safe. You are just feeling things.
Be aware of the rhythm of your breathing.
Feel yourself grounded in your body as you continue to fill out the guide.

If these feelings / emotions (___________) had sound, what would they sound like?

If these feelings / emotions made some kind of music, what would the music sound like?

If these feelings / emotions have color, what colors do you see?

Describe in detail the colors you see and if there's any movement or anything else.
What colors and movements do you see?

Do these feelings / emotions have any shape, form, or substance?

Describe in detail the shapes, forms, and / or substance of these feelings / emotions, and where you see them.
Notice whatever ways they show up, even if it doesn't make any sense to you.
Take three deep breaths and really explore what is happening.
Write down what you are experiencing.

Keep breathing, feeling your body, and relaxing with each exhalation.

From your "perch of curiosity" bring your awareness to all the parts of you that have been hurt throughout your life in the same ways you are feeling now (___________). You have likely felt all these feelings / emotions before in your life.
What do you feel as you recall feeling this way many times before in your life?
Give all these parts of yourself an abundance of loving kindness and understanding. Only you know what you've been through.
What insights are revealing to you?

See if there are any young identities (young parts of yourself) showing up from different times in your life.
Bring more compassion and comfort to all these young identities within you.
Invite all these parts of you to share their insights as they feel you seeing them, acknowledging them, and bringing them comfort, care, and compassion.
How does this feel?

Find the youngest identity from the earliest memory that is available.
Feel the innocence and purity of this very young one.
Ask this young one to sit beside you on your "perch of curiosity."
Ask them, her / him to share what they wanted to experience and learn, what they / you longed for, and why they / you came to this life.
What do you hear this young one revealing to you?

What I wanted to experience and learn? What I longed for? Why I came to this life?

Lovingly hold this young one on your lap.
Feel the presence of your original, innocent, pure, and loving core being within this young one. This is still your own essential self.
Feel what is happening in your heart.
Write down what is happening within you.

From this perspective, how are you now relating to the uncomfortable feelings / emotions ___________ you have been experiencing?
Write what you feel from this perspective.

See if you can find value in embracing the experience of no-blame.
And keep centering yourself by consciously breathing.

What insights are you feeling and noticing now?

What positive outcomes are being revealed through this process of fully feeling your uncomfortable feelings / emotions?
The more positive outcomes you genuinely experience and write down, the more powerfully you are rewiring your brain, your nervous system, and your consciousness into higher frequency vibrations.
Write down at least three genuine positive outcomes and aim to write more than ten.

How are you feeling now after discovering and writing down these positive outcomes?
Take this opportunity to write down what you have learned through this guided journey ~ Transformation Through Uncomfortable Feelings, so that you further empower yourself and UPLIFT your life.

Curiosity

Curiosity is our natural ability to look at things with fresh eyes. As we put aside opinions, concepts, projections, and expectations: we become available to experience this moment with the wonder and innocence of a child.

Being curious brings us into a natural, open, and vast space to explore: “What is this?” “What am I experiencing?” “What am I feeling?”

4. Bring more awareness to what you are feeling. Focus on your felt experience and the qualities of the Inner Resource as you embody it. Resist the habit to analyze. Simply feel your body and emotions.

5. Be open to your current experience, whatever it is, without judgment. Just ride the wave of the experience.

6. Remember that the quality of your attention and what you are feeling are more important than the content. Notice how your attention changes, waxing and waning, growing stronger, and sometimes getting distracted. No worries, simply bring your awareness back to the moment, take a deep breath, and focus on the Inner Resource.

7. Become familiar with the feelings and sensations of the Inner Resource you have chosen. Feel what is showing up in your physical body and your emotional body. Be curious to discover how this Inner Resource will support you in your life, to be who you really want to be, and feel how you really want to feel. It is through feeling the Inner Resource that you activate the frequency of it.

Take 5 Deep Breaths

1. Feel your body.

2. Relax your shoulders.

3. Choose a word that makes you feel peaceful, such as om, peace, or love.

4. Inhale slowly while mentally saying the word you chose. Pause before starting the exhalation.

5. Exhale slowly while mentally saying 1 with the first breath. Exhale saying 2 with the second breath, up to 5 or more.

Feel Your Body

Relax your body, and just be aware of how your body feels. Be curious about what is happening in your body. Without changing anything, just notice what you are feeling. Notice where you are feeling things in your body. Make yourself more comfortable if you’d like. Take a deep breath, and feel the sensation of aliveness and the energy of your body.
