Allowing / Not Allowing

This Guided Self-Inquiry will support you in discovering that is a core element of your being.

Bring curiosity, patience, and kindness to yourself and notice what happens. And remember that whatever you are feeling, it's all ok.

There are no right or wrong answers to these questions. This is an opportunity for you to explore yourself with deep honesty.

And most importantly, relax and have fun doing this!

It's helpful to set a timer. Have fun with the numbers, set your timer for —
4:44 ~ 8:28 ~ 11:11 ~ 18:18 ~ 22:22 or whatever you like. You can always stop, save, and come back to deepen your self-discovery. Make sure to save this document.

Take three deep breaths. Relax into the present moment. And feel your body.

Start by saying to yourself, "I want to feel right now."
Let the words "I want to feel " drop into your heart space.
Listen and feel what your heart reveals. Write down what you notice.

Be curious about embodying . Resist the habit of analyzing. Simply feel your body and emotions. Just notice what's happening. If resistance shows up, let it be here too. With curiosity and kindness to yourself, notice what it's like to feel and embody .

Give yourself a few minutes and write down what you're feeling.

Bring your awareness to the energetic vibrations in your body as you feel and embody . This is the frequency of vibrating in your body.

Give yourself a few minutes to keep breathing and feeling.
And write down what you're experiencing.

Now bring your awareness to the feeling of longing for . Feel into your longing. Notice how your longing for brings you into a state of feeling, embodying, and experiencing . Your longing vibrates at the frequency of what you long for.

Leave aside explaining or justifying anything, and write down your experience of longing for .

Notice any sensations you are feeling in your physical, emotional, and energetic bodies right now as you soften into feeling, embodying, and experiencing :

Physically, I am feeling…

Emotionally, I am feeling…

Energetically, I am feeling…

What do you notice now that you have deepened into ?

Have you always wanted to feel this way, and what does this mean to you?

Throughout your day, you can further enhance the vibration of this Inner Resource by continuing to focus on feeling, embodying, and experiencing . And use your breathing to help you focus.

Write down any ideas that come up right now to support you in feeling, embodying, and experiencing more throughout the day and the days to come.

Enjoy discovering what your Inner Resource of can bring to your daily experience. It can change your life.

Take a moment to consider all the different ways in which experiencing more in your life will support your happiness, your well-being, and your relationships.

Are you aware that you have choices about what you allow and do not allow into your life?

Take a few moments to notice what shows up and write it down in your journal.

Can you notice that there are things which you allow and do not allow yourself to do, to be, to think, or to feel?

Take another few moments to write these things down. You can keep adding to this list as you realize more things that you allow and do not allow. 

Take a deep breath and focus your attention on your body, and let your body relax a little more. 

Remaining curious, notice if there is an inner “judge” or voice who allows and doesn’t allow? 

Feel into how you may have limited yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically.

Is there a sort of an inner rulebook about what you are allowed … to eat? Or think? Or say? Or feel? Or behave?

Take a little time to allow yourself to write down a list of all the “rules” that you come up, which tell you what you might be allowed or not allowed to do, be, say, behave, etc.

Without self-censoring, write down all that you are noticing as you inquire into the above questions. This is usually a much bigger revelation than you might have thought when you started.

Consider the following things: 

Do you allow yourself to receive?

Do you allow yourself to receive love?

Do you allow yourself to love yourself?

Also consider this:

Do you allow negative self-talk, self-attack, and self-criticism? 

You can decide not to allow any negative self-talk, self-attack, or self-criticism. 

Take a moment, take a deep breath, and just allow yourself to fill with and absorb love.

Take some more deep breaths, filling with and absorbing love into your physical body. As we fill with love, we replenish ourselves and have more love to give.

Pause and take some time to write down what you are feeling, noticing, and experiencing.

You can also ask yourself: 

Do I allow myself to set and hold healthy boundaries? 

Do I allow myself to rest?

Do I allow myself to change my mind?

Take a few moments, breathing slowly, and then write down what you are feeling and noticing.

What happens when you allow yourself to be the sole authority of your life experience?

What happens when you take charge of what you allow and do not allow for yourself? 

Write down these questions and their answers. 

Now, say to yourself, “I am allowed to be me.” and keep reminding yourself all day long, day after day.

Curiosity

Curiosity is our natural ability to look at things with fresh eyes. As we put aside opinions, concepts, projections, and expectations: we become available to experience this moment with the wonder and innocence of a child. 

Being curious brings us into a natural, open, and vast space to explore: “What is this?” “What am I experiencing?” “What am I feeling?”

4. Bring more awareness to what you are feeling. Focus on your felt experience and the qualities of the Inner Resource as you embody it. Resist the habit to analyze. Simply feel your body and emotions. 

5. Be open to your current experience, whatever it is, without judgment. Just ride the wave of the experience.

6. Remember that the quality of your attention and what you are feeling are more important than the content. Notice how your attention changes, waxing and waning, growing stronger, and sometimes getting distracted. No worries, simply bring your awareness back to the moment, take a deep breath, and focus on the Inner Resource.

7. Become familiar with the feelings and sensations of the Inner Resource you have chosen. Feel what is showing up in your physical body and your emotional body. Be curious to discover how this Inner Resource will support you in your life, to be who you really want to be, and feel how you really want to feel. It is through feeling the Inner Resource that you activate the frequency of it. 

Take 5 Deep Breaths

1. Feel your body.

2. Relax your shoulders.

3. Choose a word that makes you feel peaceful, such as om, peace, or love.

4. Inhale slowly while mentally saying the word you chose. Pause before starting the exhalation.

5. Exhale slowly while mentally saying 1 with the first breath. Exhale saying 2 with the second breath, up to 5 or more.

Feel Your Body

Relax your body, and just be aware of how your body feels. Be curious about what is happening in your body. Without changing anything, just notice what you are feeling. Notice where you are feeling things in your body. Make yourself more comfortable if you’d like. Take a deep breath, and feel the sensation of aliveness and the energy of your body.
