Self-Discovery Guidelines to Access and Activate:

Take your time, go slowly, and be patient with yourself to get the best results.

1. Feel your body, take a few moments to settle in. Your body holds deep wisdom. Trust in it. Learn from it. Connect with it.

2. Focus on and bring your awareness to the specific Inner Resource of Compassion.

Explore the following questions:

Writing down your insights is very helpful, and we encourage you to keep a journal of your explorations, so grab a journal or a pad of paper now!

Can I offer the gift of compassion to myself?

What does it feel like to offer and receive compassion within myself, right now?

Can I realize that I have always done the best I could, given what was happening in my life? Am I willing to offer forgiveness and understanding to myself? How does that feel in my body?

Resist any temptation to get into a story here, just focus your attention on your feelings and what is happening in your body.

Can I give myself the compassion I would willingly offer to a friend or loved one? 

Can I realize and accept that I deserve this self-compassion?  

Can I love myself enough to offer compassion to that part of me that feels unworthy, ashamed, or guilty? Can I offer gentleness to myself also?

That part of me that needs compassion may be an inner child. 

Take a few minutes to bring curiosity, gentleness, and kindness to yourself as you offer yourself and your inner child the gift of compassion.

You are both the giver and the receiver of this compassion. 

No one else knows what you have been through in your life. 

Only you know. 

Take another moment to deepen your compassion. Notice the texture and the substance of how your compassion feels to you in your body and throughout the wholeness of your being.

Remember that writing down your insights can be very helpful.
