Across the world our national pastimes have tended to divide, and patriotism has spawned deep conflicts across shared mountains and rivers. But perhaps the story of our ancestry, locked in our very DNA, holds another perspective.

We grow up with one story about ourselves. The culture we live in constructs us and can limit us. But DNA tells a biological history that sits besides our cultural history and paints another more expansive picture of who we are.

In fact, we all have genetic roots that are far beyond our country of birth.

To celebrate diversity in the world, momondo created The DNA Journey: a journey into our global familial connections. A group of 67 people from all over the world were asked to take a DNA test, and discovered they have much more in common with other nationalities than they would ever have thought.
