Leymah Gbowee: Unlock the Intelligence, Passion, Greatness of Girls
A Nobel Peace Prize winner is transforming the world by giving young girls opportunities to express their greatness.

Leymah Gbowee is an extraordinary woman. The Liberian peace activist is responsible for leading a women’s peace movement, Women of Liberia Mass Action for Peace, which helped bring an end to the Second Liberian Civil War.

Today she’s a Nobel Peace Prize winner, but once she was just a young girl, like thousands of others, trapped in a patriarchal system that prevented her from having a better life.

Leymah Gbowee has two powerful stories to tell–of her own life’s transformation, and of the untapped potential of girls around the world. Today she runs a foundation to help girls receive an education and fulfill their dreams of a good life.

She asks: Can we transform the planet by unlocking the greatness of girls?
