Self-discovery guidelines to access and activate:

Writing down your insights is very helpful. Before you start, we encourage you to keep a journal of your explorations, so grab a journal, pad of paper or print the worksheet below.

Take your time, go slowly, and be patient with yourself to get the best results.

1. Feel your body, take a few moments to settle in. Your body holds deep wisdom. Trust in it. Learn from it. Connect with it.

2. Focus on and bring your awareness to the specific Inner Resource of Joy.

3. Allow the word Joy to just drop in to your field of being and notice what you experience with curiosity and kindness to yourself.

Explore the following questions:

Can I find joy within me right now? 

Do I want to feel joyful? 

Do I allow myself to feel joyful?

Take a moment to consider these questions deeply.

While we all want to feel joyful, many of us do not allow ourselves to be joyful. 

Ask yourself, “Can I find one thing that feels joyful to me right now?”

Without changing anything, look and see what feels joyful in your current experience. 

As you consciously choose to access the feelings of joy, you will automatically activate joy’s presence within you.

Pause and take a few deep breaths and allow yourself to feel the feelings of Joy in your physical body, emotional body, mental body, and spiritual body. Be curious to see how Joy shows up differently in these four aspects of your embodiment. 

Note how Joy feels in your spiritual body.

Note how Joy feels in your mental body.

Note how Joy feels in your emotional body.

Note how Joy feels in your physical body.

Consider how it feels to bring the feelings of joy to the simple things you do every day, such as: 


Taking a deep breath… having a cup of coffee… looking out the window… any part of your normal daily activities. 

See how it feels to give yourself a few moments to focus on joy? 

What do you feel joyful about right now? Name three things.

Notice how you have now accessed and activated the inner resource of Joy.
