Self-Discovery Guidelines to Access and Activate:

Writing down your insights is very helpful.

Before you start, we encourage you to keep a journal of your explorations, so grab a journal, pad of paper or print the worksheet below.

1. Feel your body, take a few moments to settle in. Your body holds deep wisdom. Trust in it. Learn from it. Connect with it.

2. Bring your awareness to the specific Inner Resource of Joy, as you slow down, and take a few deep breaths.

3. Allow the word Joy to just drop into your field of being and notice what you experience with curiosity and kindness to yourself.

Take your time, go slowly, and be patient with yourself to get the best results.

Explore the following questions with curiosity and kindness to yourself:

Can I find joy within me right now?

Take a few moments to look for the feelings of joy within you.

While we all want to feel joyful, many of us do not allow ourselves to be joyful. Take a few deep breaths while asking yourself “Am I willing to let myself feel and experience joy?”

Notice what might be in the way of allowing yourself to feel joy. Take note and or write down what is coming up for you.

Ask yourself, “Can I find one thing that feels joyful to me right now?” Can I find two? or three?

Without changing anything, look and see what feels joyful to you in your current experience. Consider how it feels to bring the feelings of joy to the simple things you do every day, such as:

Taking a deep breath… having a cup of tea/coffee… looking out the window… taking a walk… looking at something beautiful… or any part of your normal daily activities.

What does joy feel like in your body right now? Notice its unique energy signature and frequency as you continue to focus on the feelings of joy within you. Notice the particular aspects of how Joy feels to you in your body, in your heart, and throughout the wholeness of your being.

Can you feel joyful feelings deepening and activating within you?

Pause and take a few deep breaths and allow yourself to feel the feelings of joy in your physical body, emotional body, mental body, and spiritual body.

Note how Joy feels in your physical body.

Note how Joy feels in your emotional body.

Note how Joy feels in your mental body.

Note how Joy feels in your spiritual body.

Be curious to see how joy shows up differently in these four aspects of your embodiment.

What do you feel joyful about right now? Name three things.

Now ask yourself, “What is my capacity for experiencing Joy“? Notice if it has expanded. As you consciously choose to access the feelings of joy, you will automatically activate joy’s presence within you. See if this is true for you.

There is a deep well of Joy within you that you can draw upon to bring more joy into your life, to share with others and to resonate into the world.

We invite you to continue this journey of self-discovery. It is not a once-and-done experience. Please revisit this exploration into Joy and discover how it continues to deepen and enhance the quality of your life.

Take 5 Deep Breaths

1. Feel your body.

2. Relax your shoulders.

3. Choose a word that makes you feel peaceful, such as om, peace, or love.

4. Inhale slowly while mentally saying the word you chose. Pause before starting the exhalation.

5. Exhale slowly while mentally saying 1 with the first breath. Exhale saying 2 with the second breath, up to 5 or more.

Feel Your Body

Relax your body, and just be aware of how your body feels. Without changing anything, notice what you are feeling, and where you are feeling things in your body.  If your body wants to adjust a little, let it. Be curious how it feels as your body relaxes. (Resist any temptation to analyze or think.)
