Here to Serve – Let’s Truly Thrive in 2021

BY Paul C Pritchard

Leaning into Hope and Inspiration

There’s no denying 2020 was a challenging year on so many levels. The lack of certainty is now amplified by the Global Pandemic. Connection has moved on-line and we are genuinely missing our human face to face connection with family and friends. We are missing hugs, hand-holding and kisses on cheeks. We are having to rethink travel, borders, freedoms and in some cases moral dilemmas. All that we took for granted has been limited or eliminated. We are hurting and sometimes confused.

More than ever I am called to remember the clear directive in Clarissa Pinkola Estes’ message:

My friends, do not lose heart. We were made for these times… I urge you, ask you, gentle you, to please not spend your spirit dry by bewailing these difficult times. Especially do not lose hope. Most particularly because, the fact is that we were made for these times. Yes. For years, we have been learning, practicing, been in training for and just waiting to meet on this exact plain of engagement.

“I’m ready!”, I exclaim.

But I can feel overwhelmed and a little bewildered as how best to serve gracefully. I often feel my voice too singular to be significant. This manifests in me as a split. A kind of strong desire to facilitate change and then an apathy around how to move forward. I can feel immobilised. My monkey-mind can generate a thousand excuses as to why it’s okay to sit back or sit on the fence or even crawl under a rock. I tell myself: ‘Leave it to the younger ones, I don’t have the energy anymore.’ ‘Can my small voice really make a difference?’ ‘What’s the point we’ve gone too far.’ ‘We don’t have the technology or infrastructure or collective desire.’ ‘Humans are just too stupid and selfish.’

And then I came across a film that lit me up from deep within. Not just deep within my body but deep within the interconnectedness of this miraculous Existence — this Life, this Universe, this Mystery. I crawled out from under my rock, kicked the fence down and stood up ready for action.

This film is called Thrive II – This is What it Takes.

It took ME straight to WE!

I felt buoyant, skybound and for the first time in a very long time, genuinely hopeful. It was like being deeply renewed on a cellular level. As if all the doubt and hopelessness was banished by evidence: undeniable compelling evidence, that there is a clear and magnificent way to collectively serve and reach for our new paradigm.

So What’s So Different About This Film?

Thrive II – This is What it Takes emphasises solutions and hope rather than the negative bias of doom and gloom. And yet it is based in reality. It does not shy away from hard-hitting facts. In the light of the Covid Pandemic, people seem more receptive; in a more realistic place of recognising that we need to change the way we do life on this planet—our only planet, our only home. The world keeps turning, the sun keeps rising and setting and all the planets and stars continue their orbital dance routines. What is changing at a staggering rate is everything within our biosphere. The acceleration is palpable even in our sleep. Humans have always worked well in a crisis and it seems to bring out the best of us. This is what is celebrated in this inspiring film. The magnificence of the human imagination and solution-focused scientists.

* Energy Solutions – Free, and out of the hands of profiteers.
* Agricultural solutions that heal and feed us all.
* Micro and macro solutions to enhance humanity’s interconnectedness.
* Ground-breaking technology and science making health and wellness an affordable option for all.
* The eradication of major diseases that kill or impair a good quality of life.
* The shifting paradigm that takes us all into higher consciousness.
* Getting back to basics and nature and spaciousness to soothe our nervous systems.
* Love always wins and this becomes the driving force — the energy of Kindness and Love in Action

What we need is a shot in the arm of hope and infinite possibilities – real answers.  A lot of what could free us or at this point literally save us is hidden by the old paradigms and systems for fear of a global economic collapse. Embracing the new is challenging. But it’s becoming more and more apparent that this is our only choice. Be on the kind side of history. Get informed. Watch this crescendo of hope and lighten your heart and mind. Call your friends and family and make a point of coming together in a unified field of hope and positivity. Turn off the news, the disaster movies, the woes of the world and tune into the frequency of alive and lasting change by having a THRIVE II watch party. You don’t have to be in the same room but you can watch at the same time and then connect and share your experience on platforms like Zoom, FaceTime etc.

Wishing you hope, energy and potent dreams of a unanimous nourishing future.

Curiosity

Curiosity is our natural ability to look at things with fresh eyes. As we put aside opinions, concepts, projections, and expectations: we become available to experience this moment with the wonder and innocence of a child.

Being curious brings us into a natural, open, and vast space to explore: “What is this?” “What am I experiencing?” “What am I feeling?”

4. Bring more awareness to what you are feeling. Focus on your felt experience and the qualities of the Inner Resource as you embody it. Resist the habit to analyze. Simply feel your body and emotions.

5. Be open to your current experience, whatever it is, without judgment. Just ride the wave of the experience.

6. Remember that the quality of your attention and what you are feeling are more important than the content. Notice how your attention changes, waxing and waning, growing stronger, and sometimes getting distracted. No worries, simply bring your awareness back to the moment, take a deep breath, and focus on the Inner Resource.

7. Become familiar with the feelings and sensations of the Inner Resource you have chosen. Feel what is showing up in your physical body and your emotional body. Be curious to discover how this Inner Resource will support you in your life, to be who you really want to be, and feel how you really want to feel. It is through feeling the Inner Resource that you activate the frequency of it.

Take 5 Deep Breaths

1. Feel your body.

2. Relax your shoulders.

3. Choose a word that makes you feel peaceful, such as om, peace, or love.

4. Inhale slowly while mentally saying the word you chose. Pause before starting the exhalation.

5. Exhale slowly while mentally saying 1 with the first breath. Exhale saying 2 with the second breath, up to 5 or more.

Feel Your Body

Relax your body, and just be aware of how your body feels. Be curious about what is happening in your body. Without changing anything, just notice what you are feeling. Notice where you are feeling things in your body. Make yourself more comfortable if you’d like. Take a deep breath, and feel the sensation of aliveness and the energy of your body.
