Come on Home, Beloved

Come on Home, Beloved
Come on Home, Beloved

The tangled garden has been tended

So, come on home, beloved

Through the broken gate, now mended

Come on home, beloved

I am waiting by the gate

Where I’ll always wait for you

Even though you may be late

My love and faith remain as true

I am standing at the open gate

Within the healed surrounds

In the garden where your flowers await

Where tenderness abounds

So, come on home, beloved

Where brokenness has been mended

And you will always be absolved

Within the garden, yours and tended

You will marvel at the strength

Of the vines around the sturdy cause

You will smile again at length

Angelic singing in applause.
